d4x ( Downloader for X) is a good download manager for ubuntu. It supports HTTP, HTTPs and FTP Protocols. It also supports proxy and SOCKS5 . Its features includes recursive downloading, wildcard matching, download scheduler, multiple download queues and more.$ sudo apt-get install d4x

i have been using dx4 since last some days and i recently found the problem that if my laptop gets restart due to some reasons or if in case i restart my x server (using ctrl+alt+bkspce) my queue of dx4 goes empty and i have to start download right from begining. did you face any such problem or did you come across any solution for this problem

I have installed Fedora 11 into Laptop,However when i try to make a call using Skpe , it shows a message saying " Problem with Audio Playback" What could be the problem...Can anyone help me with regard to the same.
