Hi there i don't know that which version of Ubuntu you were talking about. But I've tried that thing on Ubuntu 8.10. And it didn't work at all. I'm new here. I've used '#' before ifconfig..... Is it OK? Coz without '#' i couldn't proceed. Plzzz help me.
